Integrations · Payments and banking

However he pays, it lands against the right invoice.

No payment connection exists yet. Payment comes back by bank transfer today, and we can connect any of the options below.

We connect it for you. Wholesale customers pay by bank transfer today. A Stripe or GoCardless connection would put a pay-now link on an invoice, or collect on the due date automatically, and we can connect either in about a day or two. Card fees against thin wholesale margins are worth deciding before either is switched on.

Plainly

What it will not do on its own

  • No card, bank or Direct Debit connection exists yet. Invoices go out; payment comes back by bank transfer.
  • It will not decide who absorbs a card fee on a thin wholesale margin. That is a conversation, not a default.
  • It does not process payment itself. Stripe, GoCardless or whichever bank product is chosen would do the actual taking.
  • It does not chase a payment provider's own disputes or chargebacks.

Payments and banking, asked plainly

Can wholesale customers pay by card or Direct Debit?
We connect it for you. Payment today comes back by bank transfer. A Stripe connection would add a pay-now link to an invoice; a GoCardless connection would collect by Direct Debit on the due date. We can connect either, each in about a day or two.
Which is better for a wholesale book, card or Direct Debit?
Usually Direct Debit, on fees. A wholesale invoice can run to several hundred pounds on a thin net margin, and a percentage card fee on that is real money, where Direct Debit is a small fixed fee that suits thirty-day terms.
Would a payment reconcile against the invoice automatically?
That is the point of building the connection rather than just taking payment. A payment collected through a link or a mandate would come back matched to the invoice it settles, clearing it from the aged debt without anyone matching it by hand.
